*Celebrate Baby* Kidorable Rain Coat Review & Giveaway [Ends 3/24]

Over the years here in Vancouver, I've noticed many kids carrying adorable umbrellas with ears and eyes sticking out 3D style from the top. I wish I had one of those when I was a little girl. I'm still a child at heart and now that I have a little guy myself, I can re-live some of the childhood wishes and memories with him. And I now know where all those funky umbrellas come from!

Kidorable is adorable. There is no other way to describe this company which has been around since 1997. When I think Kidorable, I think cute kids umbrellas, but their product line is far more than that. They carry kids rain coats, rain boots, backpacks, knit hats, scarves and mittens and even sun hats and towels! The coolest thing about their product line is that you can create a whole rain set in a theme/character that your child will love. You can dress your little up as a pirate, ladybug, fireman, frog and many others.

Since I've been quite taken with dinosaurs lately I went straight for the dinosaur collection. It wasn't very hard choosing an item. I figured that my kid can't hold an umbrella yet and I mostly carry him around so he won't need boots for another year or so. I decided on the rain coat, because that's something he definitely needs at the moment. If you don't know anything about Vancouver, BC - it rains 9 months out of the year. I'm lucky that my husband drives us to grocery stores, but we still have to run from the parking to the store in pouring rain. Holding a baby on one arm and purse in the other, there is no room for umbrella. Hoods don't do a great job of staying on in the wind an drain and none of us have rain proof jackets. Yes, in less than a minute out, we can get pretty soaked.

Dinosaur Rain Coat comes in 7 sizes starting at 1T, I chose 3T even though my kid is 21 months. Number one, I've learned to always order a size or two up, because every company is different and 2T sized clothes can often be too small. Number two, I figured that the rain coat is thin and I wouldn't put it on him by itself. I'm glad I chose 3T as it fits nicely over little guy's thick winter coat. The sleeves are a little long, but they can be folded. The hood covers the whole head very nicely, meaning it won't be falling in the wind. Did I already say that this jacket is absolutely adorable? I've gotten so many compliments on it already! It's got so many details such as the pockets shaped like dinosaurs on the sides. And it comes with it's own hanger. I don't know who likes this rain coat more, myself or the little guy. He's been gladly wearing it around. I definitely have to look into getting him more items from this collection. I can only imagine how cute he would look in rain boots and with an umbrella.

Kidorable rain coats retail for $36. Shipping to US starts at $7.95 and to Canada at $15. If you subscribe to their mailing list you will received member only deals and specials.
