Need your feedback on giveaway entries!

I am trying to make giveaway bonus entries look less cluttered. Instead of writing "like me on facebook and leave your name" I'm going to add "leave your name" to the "How to enter section". But I'm concerned that no one will be reading that section.

Would you prefer having all bonus entries as 1 entry or as multiple entries? Such as "subscribe via e-mail" worth 2 entries.

Please comment with anything you think is relative! I'll appreciate any feedback.

I like being able to see all bonus entries listed with the giveaway. If the bonus entries were to be moved to a separate page, you're right, I think they would be missed.
I also like having multiple entries for bonus entries-but no more than 2 entries/task as entering will be too time consuming. The multiple entries make me feel as if I have a better chance of winning-but in the end it probably doesn't really matter!

Glogirl, oh no, I didn't mean that I would make a separate page for bonus entries. I hate that! I meant that right now for each facebook/twitter entry I write to list your name. I want to take off the "leave your name part" and add it to general rules. Just don't think that anyone would follow it...
Thanks for the input about multiple entries. I also feel like I would have better chances, but I also think that my list of bonus entries is long as is! Don't know what to take off...

You should keep "leave your name" so people will be more likely to do it.
Don't do multiple entries unless you have a really good reason to. Like you really really want people to subscribe to your email rather than to GFC. Is that better for you in terms of blog cred?

Fiona, you don't think the bonus entries list looks cluttered with "leave your name" after each line? If you don't, then maybe I'll leave it! Or try both ways and see if it "hurts" the entries.

Actually, even with "leave your name" written, some people don't leave the name!

I agree with Glogirl, no more than 2 bonus entries per, but don't get rid of them. :)

It's more fun to have extra entries worth more because then it gives you a better chance of winning if you REALLY want it, and it makes the item that much better :)

I am fairly new to your site but let me tell you...you have some of the simplest, neatest, easy to follow entries I have ever seen!
I enter a lot of giveaways and I luv simple entries cause I wish to spend more time with my family.
I do not facebook or twitter so I'd luv if being an email subscriber was upped to 2 entries, but no more cause of time factor.
Your blog is bright, cheerful and easy to read...your giveaways are listed in plain site with end dates(just wish you had more!).
I think you are doing a great job and thanks soooooooooooo much for asking!!!

katklaw, thanks for your input! I'm glad to hear that my entries look simple. Yet I think they look cluttered :)

I think I will definitely try to add some bonus entries and see how that goes :)

I actually appreciate the 1-comment-per-entry thing, because it makes it all faster. And I think they look really streamlined — congrats! :) You must be a minimalist if you think they're still cluttered, so I won't show you mine…ha ha.

I agree with the idea that if you're itching to have a certain task emphasized, you could add an extra entry to it. I don't mind not having the extras, though, as long as everyone's chances are the same.

As for "leave your name," could you include it in a single line in your general rules above the entries? Like, "Leave a separate comment for each entry, and please leave your user name for any following/subscribing comment." Or some better wording than that!
